Salty Natural Licorice – Jacobsen Salt Co.

The salt spark hits right at the end of each bite, which keeps the molasses from feeling too heavy. I’ve been snacking on these instead of dessert and the natural coloring is a nice bonus since I’m trying to avoid artificial stuff.

The molasses and anise come through deep and rich, and that spark of sea salt on top really makes the sweetness pop. I polished off the whole bag in two sittings, and the lack of artificial coloring is a nice bonus.

I was skeptical about the salty-sweet combo, but the sea salt really brightens the molasses and anise without overpowering it. The texture is chewy and satisfying, and I appreciate that it's naturally colored instead of loaded with dye.
